 If nature is your calling, perhaps a guided driving and walking tour of the majestic and rare Torrey Pines. Not only is the name associated with a very famous golf course, the actual "Torrey Pine" tree is a beautiful and rare pine tree that grows only here on top of a hill near La Jolla. Come and see the view from the cliffs, visit the golf course and shop in the pro shop and take then take a walking tour with the guide who will introduce you to the stately pines that have been around for millions of years. There are very few if these trees left. If the spirit moves you, we will even set you up with a surf lesson on a beautiful La Jolla Beach at Surf School.

 

Perhaps you've heard of the famous Gaslamp Distirct in San Diego and want to know more. Did you know that Wyatt Earp once owned and operated his own business in San Diego. Just after he left the famous Tombstone Arizona area, he and his brothers relocated to the San Diego area and left their mark. See the house where his bar and card room were, where he lived with his second "wife" Josie. Earp owned several gambling houses, judged prize fights and raced horses. A trip to the Wyatt Earp Museum will give you much more detailed information.

 

 

No trip to San Diego would be complete without a visit to Old Town, considered to be the "birthplace" of California. It is this area that in 1769 Father Junipero Serra built the first of 21 missions that were the cornerstone of colonization in California. There are a number of historic builidings and musuems located in Old Town, in addition wonderful shopping and restaurants. If history is your calling, this is certainly the place to learn about California's earliest settlements. Many of the shops carry merchandise unique to San Diego and Old Town. No matter what the age, everyone will find something in Old Town for them.
